Alrighty fuck-wits. You have been warned. Time to prep like it matters, 'cause it does now.
USDA farm report this morning: Winter wheat harvest at 70% below last year, which was 50% bellow the following year. Australia farm output is the same. (haven’t seen canada’s but it has to be in the same range) and of course , ukraine, the worlds’ “Bread basket” is also not producing, due to the war…
USDA forecast for summer harvests are now coming in about about 60% below due to the mega drought (the usa farm belt is drier now, then it was in the great depression/dust bowl days.)
Wheat has moved from the category of: Staple to “luxury food item”
Cattle heard sizes are at their lowest in US history. Feed for cows last year: $900 a tonne, this year is projected to be $3200 a tonne.
not sure on rice yet, but the last two years were very minimal harvest and I can’t imagine , since rice is so water intensive, that this year will be any better.
Also remember: China has already eaten 90% of the fish in the oceans. There ain’t much left there. and no country has any “national food reserves” left, especially the western countries.
We’re out of food, and it’s just a slow roll till everyone starts to figure it out.
There will NOT be enough food for everyone this fall and chaos the likes no one here has ever seen,( I saw mass hunger and starvation in C. america in the mid 80’s…It ain’t pretty) is about to ensue… Buy shit now, that you want to eat over the winter and hide it away.
