We have nothing but White families and a single White guy who’s divorced.

His kids are here for Halloween so they get to enjoy our shared woods set up as a haunted forest! We pruned trees look like they are reaching toward the trail. There’s a giant spider web where they use a tunnel to crawl through. Then we finish the terror with them crossing a little covered bridge over a marshy spot. I submerged lights in the water and put my fog machine to roll over the water.

His kids had a blast so far. They are making sweets with the ladies tonight, then they’ll get to eat them tomorrow after we get the dailies done.

I don’t think one need allude to satanic imagery to elicit fear. Even the adult women who’ve come to visit have decided against the trail at various points.

I’ve been helping my friend deal with his divorce the only way I know how to deal with this shit, focusing on what you can actually control; yourself.
