Josh Sigurdson talks with Tim Picciott The Liberty Advisor about the upcoming October 27th and 28th meeting of the Federal Reserve as inflation numbers spark potential interest rate hikes sooner than later. Despite the tough talk by Kevin Warsh, it is business as usual at the Federal Reserve and while there is lots of talk about interest rates which President Trump wants to see at 1%, the Fed has already increased rates by 25 basis points recently and it looks like we're about to see another interest rate hike. The problem? Well, there are many but one of the most notable issues is that the Federal Reserve has lost control of interest rates. They are no longer really setting the rates. The bond market on the other hand is. The Fed is just setting the overnight borrowing rate between banks which these days is not all that impactful. The Fed is trying to play catchup with the bond market. President Trump at the same time is claiming the debt can simply be inflated away which is absurd as the price of living would continue as it has been to skyrocket.
