Was setting up an order for some parts when the internet cut out on me. I got up to check the box and as I passed the window I noticed someone working in the telecom wiring access panel. Figured I’d head down and see whats up. Friendly like. One tech to another.Large Arab guy is rooting around in the panel Off the bat he denies having anything to do with the disconnect and starts speaking to me agressively. I inform him that until 5 minutes prior my connection was active and being used. He standa up, a full head taller than me and wide shouldered, and starts getting in my face saying it wasn’t his doing and approaching me agressively. He enters the yard like he’s comin to hit me and as he closed 2 meters I grabbed a rake that was leaning against the tree just to my side. I point the stick end at him and he stops and gives me this nasty look and tells me he knows where I live and he’ll come back and shoot my house up. He went back to the cabling. I have the rest of the interaction recorded but wont be sharing as it would be a self dox. Once I started recording him he changed his tone. I decide its best to call the cops now that there was a spoken threat of death.So cops come about 10 minutes later and take my statement and the other guy’s. He’s trying to make like I instigated the whole thing by pointing a rake at him.Anyhow, now I have to go to the station and file a report while they!re in taking report hours which of course are the hours I work. I’m going to go. Not letting it slide.Neighbor who was getting hooked up complained to the isp about the guy and I’ll be doing the same as soon as I figure out how. Their call centers are all in africa and wont take a complaint. Cant find any other contact numbers and anyone I could reach will be off for the long weèkend anyhow. I’ll look again when I get my internet back.
