It is amazing just how much this movie obliterated the Star Wars brand. It can never recover. There has been no fan re-evaluation, no box office comeback for the franchise, nothing. It just came out, destroyed the most beloved IP in America, and then everyone slowly stopped caring about it. The next movie made less than half of what The Force Awakens made.
