As an Indian-origin Bhavin in US points out, these students came to America to study, assimilate, build careers and participate in the culture around them yet apparently even that is “too Indian” for some racists.

The answer? Don’t retreat. Don’t apologize for existing. Don’t let racists decide where Indians belong.

Study. Build. Compete. Succeed. Thrive. There is no stronger rebuttal to racism than refusing to be diminished by it.
