The boys helped me harvest berries this summer off the blackberry bushes. As we picked berries the boys learned how to navigate the spines on the vines.

I grew up in PA and we called any vines with spines “jaggers”. So my boys also call them jaggers.

We don’t live in PA anymore, and the area dialect doesn’t use “jaggers”.

We went to a fair during labor day and my youngest (3) was telling everyone to watch out for jaggers. There were no jaggers. There wasn’t any plants other than trees and grass around.

But there was a few blacks around, and since he has seen blacks maybe a handful of times so far he always points to them and gets excited.

With my sons speech pattern, he sounded like he was telling everyone to watch out for niggers while pointing at the blacks.

I couldn’t stop laughing, these guys make my day every day.
