I have been a mechanic my whole life and I usually buy older cars and just fix them and enjoy them for years with zero payments. We have a chunk of money saved and we were thinking about getting a chunk of land with on the lake or in the mountains. Our house is paid off and neither of us have “good credit” since we dont take out loans often. We bought a traverse just off lease and it has been paid off for years now. Great car for us having a third row and awd. Tows our boats too. Got it with thirty something k miles and she is now pushing 180k. Just brakes, all wheel bearings, some ball joints, and it now has a leaky flex pipe. She has been good to us.Well in order to get a decent loan for land we wanted to do some credit building. We had saved enough to buy a car but decided to take out a loan to build the credit up and then pay it off within a years time. So I did a little shopping around and had thoughts of getting an older camaro or maybe a corvette. But then I saw what my favorite sedan is selling for these days and dug around till i found the perfect one. I had to travel to newjersey to get it but boy oh boy is she clean. I settled on a 2014 BMW 535i with a little over 80k on it. One owner. A female pajeet. I only know this from the bluetooth connection name. I dont think the seats other than the drivers seat were ever sat in and all the maintenance records are there. It’s got the twin scroll turbocharged 3.0 liter inline 6. Specifically the N55 engine and she boogies like nobody’s business. Handles like it’s on rails. Pearl White exterior with Tan and black leather seats and just oozes rizz.Paid $12,500 out the door. Perfect platform to mod as its one of the best engines bmw ever made. German engineering and I think I’m in love. Will post pics when the weather is a little better and I take her for a cruise to the mountains.
